About Us
About Us
Zonta Club of South Bay, a charitable organization located in the Redondo Beach area in California, brings together volunteers with a passion to empower women and girls through Service and Advocacy. Our current focus is assisting victims of domestic violence and trafficking by supporting local organizations (1736 Family Crisis Center and Gems Uncovered).
In addition to serving our local community, we also impact the lives of women throughout the world through Zonta International. Founded in 1919, with over 25,000 members in 1200 clubs throughout the world, the Zonta International Foundation for Women provides scholarships and funds programs developed in conjunction with the United Nations, for which Zonta has NGO advisory status and an active role in the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
Zonta International envisions a world in which women’s rights are recognized as human rights and every woman is able to achieve her full potential.
In such a world, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision making positions on an equal basis with men.
In such a world, no woman lives in fear of violence.
