Service and Advocacy

Zonta Club of South Bay has been working with 1736 Family Crisis Center: a local non-profit providing shelter and “wrap around” support for victims of abuse and trafficking. (

We have been donating needed personal care supplies, masks, gift cards and holiday gift bags for the residents to provide a bit of joy and a sense of normality to struggling families.

In December, we also "adopted” a single mother with two small children and provided gifts to make sure they all had a festive holiday.

‘Gems Uncovered’ is a Long Beach based non-profit founded by Mary White, CEO to fight human trafficking and help victims through the program providing support, alternative shelter, training and education.  (

Zonta International Foundation for Women provides scholarships and funds programs developed in conjunction with the United Nations, for which Zonta has NGO advisory status and an active role in the UN Commission on the Status of Women.
